Lockhart Elementary School

Teach students in grades K-2 with emotional disabilities. Create behavior plans and collaborate with teachers to be sure students have access to as much as the general education classroom as their behavior allows. Write IEPs and very individualized lesson plans. Assist grades 3-5 emotional disabilities teacher by teaching students in math.

Starpath Dance Academy

Instruct students ages 1-8 in ballet, tap, jazz, and hip-hop.

Expanded the dance program from two classes to twelve classes due to high demand and a large increase in returning students. Plan and implement my own curriculum. Teach students ages 3-12 years of age.

Designed and implemented a thematic unit of Goldilocks and The Three Bears in the Pre-Kindergarten classroom where students created a mural on the classroom walls, explored the story through dramatic play, and wrote a poem about the Three Bears on sentence strips. Created lesson plans using PA state standards. Supervised and planned developmentally.

Bear Creek Intermediate School

Long-term substitute for 6th grade as an inclusion based resource teacher. Collaborate with general education teachers to plan and implement the general education curriculum within inclusion classrooms. Push-in to classrooms to support learning support students. Adapt general education curriculum content and materials to ensure academic success for.

Taught three full weeks in the classroom. Differentiated instruction in all lessons throughout the day.

Manor Middle School

Taught full time five out of eight weeks in the classroom. Implemented a unit where students worked independently and at their own pace. Using the promethean board and LANGUAGE! software, created videos instructing students on the content for the day, that lead to increased student performance on assessments.

Taught portions of class, such as phonics instruction and long word decoding. Modified instruction as needed to meet students need. Assisted a certified teacher in classes of 6-18 students, entering grades 1-12. Instructed struggling students one on one.
