Aligning Science Across Parkinson's (ASAP) is a collaborative effort, involving 35 teams across 11 countries, that is focused on furthering our knowledge of Parkinson's disease development and progression. Each of the 35 teams are made up of a multidisciplinary group of scientists. The Rio team, primarily located at UC Berkeley, consists of five lab.

• Meticulously review scientific manuscripts for factual accuracy and grammatical errors
• Compose and re-structure article sections to produce high-quality academic manuscripts
• Adhere to job-specific guidelines and format manuscripts according to the target journal specifications
• Understand client and industry requirements and adapt working style accordingly
• Accurately assess documents from a variety of disciplines Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Medicine, Anatomy, Physiology, Nursing, Surgery
• Effectively communicate recommendations to a diverse group of global authors Brazil, China, England, Japan, Korea

• Independently analyzed scientific problems and designed strategic solutions
• Collaborate with multiple departments to effectively design and execute projects
• Knowledge of CRISPR, cell-based assays, in vitro assays, mouse models, flow cytometry, immunostaining, PCR, RNA-seq, qRT-PCR, western blot, immunoprecipitation, transfections, infections, mini/maxi preps
• Hands-on experience with maintaining mouse models including GEMMs and immunocompromised mice
• Experience with subcutaneous injections, mouse necropsies, and tissue collection
• Experience in large data-set analysis (Rstudio, SigmaPlot, Excel)

- Skills: Generation of murine effector T-cells in cell culture, harvesting and maintenance of murine bone marrow dendritic cells, multicolor flow cytometry, RNA extraction, qRT-PCR- Provided technical expertise as a molecular biologist working with a team of 7 scientists - Efficiently completed short- and long-term objectives through goal prioritization.
