Hi, I’m Devin, a former costume designer who's abandoned Hollywood for a life behind the computer monitor.However! I didn’t abandon my affection for the design process. This has brought me to the digital space, where I now focus on user experience, interface, and visual design.While designing costumes for film and television I established a systematic design practice and gained experience collaborating with large production teams and creative talent. Conceptualizing, iterating and executing design solutions is always part of my day to day. As a result, I've come to love and appreciate applied processes which I now apply to digital products.Foundationally I’m inclined toward the analytical and practical. I graduated with a B.A. in Media Studies from Victoria University and more recently, completed a certification course at General Assembly for Visual Design. At GA I learned to incorporate design thinking into my process which has made me a more intentional designer.I have an enduring drive to make things, and to make things better. I get a real kick out of successfully resolving challenges and delivering satisfying outcomes.
