I help higher education professionals improve English communication skills in order to reach their full potential.

I teach English and cultural topics to international students and community members of all ages. I teach Irish (Gaeilge) to Americans.

In collaboration with Tracy Greggs, Travel Abroad Program Coordinator for Indiana Connections Academy, I design, develop, and launch travel abroad experiences for our virtual school population.

I teach English Language Arts and Social Studies to middle school students in our STEAM-focused middle school (6-8) program. In addition, I teach career education to our high school students. I serve on the High-Ability team in order to help our entire school (6-12) better serve our gifted population. I also hold a position on our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.I previously taught English Language Arts in our high school program (9-12).I have accompanied students to Greece twice, 2022 and 2024, have a trip scheduled for Argentina and Brazil in August of 2024, and after taking students to Japan in 2023, I look forward to returning to Japan with students in 2025.

I develop and teach an individualized curriculum for middle school and high school English language learners in a small, independent school setting. From August of 2015 though December of 2019, I taught a cohort of high school students during the school day. Since then, I have worked with international refugee students in an after-school capacity.

I formed Indiana Celtic Community to connect people with Celtic events and organizations around the state. In March of 2009 we hosted the first Bloomington Celtic Culture Weekend which specialized in Irish (Gaelic) language immersion in addition to cultural performances, presentations, and workshops.

In collaboration with a neighborhood friend, I gathered area residents and other community members to participate in an asset-based community development project in rural Modesto, Indiana.Recently we worked with the Center for Rural Outreach & Public Services (CROPS) to pilot their "Growing Rural Model."

I provided one-on-one instruction to English language learners, many of whom are adults who work in corporate leadership roles.

I developed a new intensive English program on the campus of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College with Co-Founder, Cindy Morgan.I instructed non-native English speakers at an array of levels.I collaborated with campus faculty and staff on international initiatives.

I sparked creation of new and effective programs for a program that serves international students who are in pursuit of English language development.I supervised, guided, and collaborated with English language instructors with varying levels of experience.I instructed non-native English speakers in the subjects of grammar, reading, writing, and listening/speaking.I participated in training for F-1 student advising and SEVIS system.

I taught two levels of adult non-credit Irish-Gaelic (Gaeilge) classes.

I worked with historic photographs in the accessions process for the Faces & Places photography digitization project. In addition to describing the content and context of photographs in the collection, I evaluated the condition and ensured that they were appropriately stored.

Helping area high school students determine post-secondary career or education plans.

I contributed stories about an array of topics including Sycamore Land Trust's Beanblossom Bottoms and perspectives from Bloomington's Townie population.

Collaborated with students and teachers to evaluate existing curriculum and develop new programs.

Operated pet training program, using positive reinforcement techniques. Also served as a lead cashier.Assisted in grand opening of Terre Haute store.

As part of Indiana University’s Global Gateway for Teachers (formerly Cultural Immersion Projects) I student taught in a secondary setting. Subjects I covered were English, geography, history, CSPE, and world religion.In addition, I had the opportunity to learn about new programs like Leaving Cert Applied, Transition Year, and Restorative Justice.

Worked with experienced mentor teacher, Phoebe Rodgers, as part of pre-service teacher training through Community of Teachers. Accepted increasing teaching responsibilities in the fields of speech, theatre, and English leading up to student teaching experience in 2005. Assisted in large-scale theatrical productions. Collaborated with a range of staff.
