Portfolio And Mission Impact
In-Q-Tel (IQT) is a not-for-profit strategic investment firm serving the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC), whose mission is to identify, adapt, and deliver innovative technology solutions in support of the IC.I led the commercial space portfolio along with key data science platform investments.I was a founding member of the IQT commercial space team, CosmiQ Works, focused on providing strategic guidance for our IC partners on emerging trends in commercial space.I managed a diverse portfolio of investments in 32 companies covering a range of technology areas including optics/imaging, earth observation, space systems, data science and machine learning including deep learning, power systems, communications, energetics/propulsion, CBRNE sensors, distributed and cloud computing with Hadoop, Accumulo, OpenStack, AWS, C2S. I was a principal member of the IQT deal team responsible for all elements of investment diligence, deal structuring, and customer interaction. Throughout the life cycle of an investment I coordinated with portfolio companies and IC clients to maintain alignment between a company’s technology, commercial strategy, and IC requirements. I led the facilitation process for operational integration of technology. I have experience across over 75 transactions spanning the entire funding life cycle from seed to late stage, including multiple "unicorns" (valuation of $1B or greater), with several successful M&A and IPO exits. I was responsible for all aspects of our strategic investment management, including payment, oversight of product development timelines, contract modifications, and transfer of intellectual property. I have experience navigating the compliance process for ITAR/EAR and HSRP as part of managing multi-faceted, international investments.

Aligned to Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC). Performed portfolio and process development and analysis for USMC intelligence systems (PG-12), including agile process implementation for the DCGS-MC program.
