Led product management for the entire Orbital Insight Public Sector business, encompassing a suite of cutting-edge products focused on data processing and labeling for advanced applications of computer vision, computer vision algorithm development, and large-scale geospatial analytics in both cloud-hosted and on-premise compute environments. Responsible for establishing and maintaining the overall product strategy for the Public Sector business in support of corporate growth targets.WHO ARE WE? Orbital Insight ingests, interprets and analyzes multiple sources of intelligence to provide a holistic and complementary view of the world’s economic and geopolitical activity, leveraging the rapidly growing availability of satellite, UAV, and other geospatial data sources to understand and characterize socio-economic trends at global, regional, and hyper-local scales. Backed by top tier VC's, including Sequoia Capital and Bloomberg Beta, we build products that have never existed before, and could not exist without the ongoing proliferation of rich geospatial data sources, image processing, machine learning algorithms, and cloud computing. In-Q-Tel (IQT) is a not-for-profit strategic investment firm serving the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC), whose mission is to identify, adapt, and deliver innovative technology solutions in support of the IC.I led the commercial space portfolio along with key data science platform investments.I was a founding member of the IQT commercial space team, CosmiQ Works, focused on providing strategic guidance for our IC partners on emerging trends in commercial space.I managed a diverse portfolio of investments in 32 companies covering a range of technology areas including optics/imaging, earth observation, space systems, data science and machine learning including deep learning, power systems, communications, energetics/propulsion, CBRNE sensors, distributed and cloud computing with Hadoop, Accumulo, OpenStack, AWS, C2S. I was a principal member of the IQT deal team responsible for all elements of investment diligence, deal structuring, and customer interaction. Throughout the life cycle of an investment I coordinated with portfolio companies and IC clients to maintain alignment between a company’s technology, commercial strategy, and IC requirements. I led the facilitation process for operational integration of technology. I have experience across over 75 transactions spanning the entire funding life cycle from seed to late stage, including multiple "unicorns" (valuation of $1B or greater), with several successful M&A and IPO exits. I was responsible for all aspects of our strategic investment management, including payment, oversight of product development timelines, contract modifications, and transfer of intellectual property. I have experience navigating the compliance process for ITAR/EAR and HSRP as part of managing multi-faceted, international investments.

Aligned to Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC). Performed portfolio and process development and analysis for USMC intelligence systems (PG-12), including agile process implementation for the DCGS-MC program. Collaborated with numerous stakeholders in executing intelligence systems modernization, particularly in the area of advanced analytics.Additionally, was a core member of a multi-discipline team focused on the USMC Logistics Combat Element tactical command and control system of systems. Provided analysis and assessment to determine overall functionality being acquired including gaps and overlaps across 100+ programs/systems in order to inform future funding and planning decisions across the entire logistics systems portfolio. Managed development of and authored technical analysis for a nine volume report summarizing the efforts and recommendations of the team.

Test and Evaluation lead for the Air Force Joint Terminal Engineering Office. Led Joint testing of KIV-7M encryptor for protected MILSATCOM. Led development of and executed client strategy for AEHF terminal Joint interoperability in partnership with the Joint Interoperability Test Command. Experienced cultivating relationships with senior military and civilian stakeholders. Additional accomplishments:Provided technical and strategic content to RFP responses ranging from millions to billions of dollars. Led a small team in drafting technical RFP narratives for NETCENTS2. Provided key facilitation to peer review process for the joint NTIA/DHS Public Safety Interoperable Communications Grant Program and DHS Homeland Security Grant Program, culminating in release of $2.5+ billion in federal funds to state governments. DoD Acquisition knowledge: DoD 5000, CJCSI 6212, ACAT1 Acquisition. Author of multiple DoD Acquisition strategy papers.

Performed research in autonomous robotics and modern controls, in partnership with the Army Cold Regions Research and Engineering Lab (CRREL), as a member of a multi-discipline lab focused on advanced applications in robotics and swarm control. Work involved data collection and analysis, modeling and simulation, software and hardware prototyping, and contribution to scholarly papers.
