Hi, My name is Devin and I am currently employed in IT field specifically as Support Technician. Last year, I was enrolled in a workforce program called Year Up, building my skills to prepare for a position within the IT field. I participated in 6 months of virtual learning and development and 6 months of internship training I received at Accenture Federal Services and my current employment with Digital Management has allowed me to continue to grow my skills and expand my knowledge base further. Throughout my time at AFS, I worked with Windows, MacBook laptops and gained the skills to image, profile laptops. Troubleshooted and resolved issues regarding domain controller errors, password sync issues, WI-FI issues, Office 365 issues (ie. Outlook, Excel, Word), MacBook Lockouts and asset management. During my time so far with DMI, I have been introduced to building and working with HP laptops. In addition to re-imaging and building them, I have become experienced with encrypting drives and installing/removing certificates on USB tokens used in the New Hire provisioning procedure. With these skills, I have been able to apply my knowledge to every day challenges and issues I encounter to learn and evolve from it. I am confident my prior academic experience through my time at Bowie State University in computer science classes and classes through Year Up have helped me give me an advantage being familiar with certain applications and different scenarios. I believe with the skills acquired through my internship with AFS and my employment with DMI has helped me have more attention to details when troubleshooting and identifying issues with computers and how to resolve them. I am currently studying cloud management and engineering to further expand my knowledge base and pursue other IT related fields and achieve my goals in the near future.
