Coordinate Civic Education Coalition in Uganda (CECU) partner organizations and work closely with them to implement activities that strengthen the coalition; Coordinate the implementation of the communication strategy, media/press outreach and visibility challenges; Support resource mobilization and lead the implementation of the advocacy strategy for CECU targeting government MDAs and the private sector; Support capacity building and technical support to civic education partners in the country; Publish and disseminate civic education information.

Coordinate programs aimed at building capacity of women and men in leadership, entrepreneurship development, and access to productive resources. Conduct training in gender concepts and mainstreaming and support training in financial literacy, savings culture, enterprise development and vocational skills, credit mobilization and empowerment targeting confidence building, leadership and advocacy skills enhancement. I have attained adequate exposure in research and documentation as well as policy advocacy to promote improved livelihoods through the economic empowerment of women, men and youth in the development process.

Position: Women/Youth Program Coordinator Function: Supported development of Policy, strategy and action plan on advocacy including gender, women and youth, to be endorsed by senior management, which provided a framework - the mandate, rationales and goals - for the work of the department using consultants or other resources as necessary across all 11 member countries. Charged with providing advice and support to the other departments and country chapters on how gender perspectives can be incorporated into the organisation’s on-going work, or can be supported with external resources. My role demanded a high level of collaboration and resource mobilization.Position: Membership coordinatorFunction: Supported the organisation in designing and implementing innovative ways to drive membership recruitment and retention; Developed and executed knowledge management tools and processes to promote learning and awareness; Implemented and coordinated training programs; tracked membership benefits by constantly engaging with members through different platforms; Worked closely with country chapter coordinators in developing and implementing proposals for country specific initiatives and activities in line with Organization’s overall strategic plan.

Provided day-to-day operational management of the gender equity project in collaboration with the other staff on other coffee agribusiness activities within NUCAFE and served as the liaison officer close with business managers and animators to provide support to the project and ensure that it is implemented efficiently. Charged with analyzing work plans and reports from field based staff as well as monitoring & evaluating, reporting on results and making recommendations.Responsible for mobilization and sensitization of farmer groups and their communities on best practices in compliance with funding organizations’ strategies and Uganda Coffee Development Authority guidelines.
