At MutualMobile, I designed, built, and deployed web services and APIs for our customers. I became thoroughly comfortable with the HTTP standard, and studied Roy Fielding's dissertation on REST closely. A list of my projects is below:• Designed and wrote an API for real-time athlete tracking during events through RFID, with HTTP Basic Auth and Oauth support for MapMyFitness.• Converted legacy PHP API to Python using the Django ORM and nosetests for MapMyFitness.• Developed the API for a large real estate firm in Florida that included pretty-urls, file upload and download, Django, and tests.• Consulted for BankView to write integration test in JavaScript and Python for mobile web and iPhone development.• Wrote integration tests to support mobile web development for the largest corporate real estate's entrance onto the iPhone platform.• Wrote an internal API library standardizing our use of HTTP Basic Auth over HTTPS and HMAC over HTTP to ensure authenticity and guarantee message authenticity.Technologies used daily:Python, Django, Nginx, PostgreSQL, BASH scripts, and Ubuntu.This work was rewarding, and I continue to maintain a very good relationship with my previous team.
