Quality Engineer
Current· Communicate with project stakeholders about topics related to the quality of the project.· Perform root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns using the 8D system.· Create gauging strategies to ensure product quality for the customer is protected. Validate gauging using measurement system analysis (MSA) tools. Address deficiencies in the gauging system.· Create drawings using Solidworks and AutoCAD. Source specialty gauging were required.· Collaborate with the quality department to establish, implement and maintain the facilities quality management system to the IATF 16949 specification.· Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure acceptable product quality for new products produced by the facility using the APQP process. Lead the production part approval process (PPAP) for new products.· Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports. Experience working with and developing audit management techniques like layered process audits (LPA).· Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.· Responsible for planning, organizing and managing the overall activities of receiving and final inspection.· Manage suppliers' quality performance and ensure timely resolution of supplier issues to protect the quality received by the customer.· Presentation quality finding in meetings with management, customers, and production staff.· Technical knowledge and experience measuring involute gears and splines. Create measurement programs for a Klinglenberg Gear Analyzer.
