AstrumU's mission is to empower individuals and organizations by connecting college graduates and lifelong learners to professional roles based on their education, credentials, and most importantly, skills.My role as a Data Scientist centers on developing innovative ways to assess soft skills, an essential yet often overlooked aspect of professional development. Our team's focus is on creating AI-driven solutions for building detailed skill profiles, which are key in connecting individuals with suitable career opportunities. A significant part of our work involves 'Skillset', a product designed to help military personnel transition to civilian careers. By analyzing their military and civilian education, we build profiles that align with job roles and provide personalized recommendations for further education or employment.My contribution lies in using deep learning and data science techniques to construct soft skill profiles for individuals and job requirements. This challenging project is part of our broader goal to apply these insights in various HR scenarios, including recruitment and career development. While early in my career, I'm grateful for the opportunity to have significant influence of this project, highlighted by a patent pending for our Soft Skill Prediction methodology.In my current position, I successfully merge technical acumen with an intuitive understanding of building AI and data-based products. As my career progresses, I'm keen on embracing projects that require a fusion of technical depth and strategic vision, focusing on creating innovative solutions that resonate with both business objectives and user needs.

In my role as an ACM officer at university, we focused on bridging the gap between academic learning and practical application in computer science. I helped organize hands-on projects, fostering a practical understanding of technology among students. Alongside this, I arranged for guest speakers, including alumni and local professionals, to share industry insights. These sessions were complemented by social events aimed at exercising students' communication and networking skills, essential in the technology space.ACM @ Eastern Washington University also played a key role in preparing students for their professional journeys. By combining resume writing and interview workshops with the coordination of the STEM job fair, we provided opportunity for students to not only develop their professional skills but also to connect directly with potential employers. This blend of academic support and career facilitation was central to my volunteerism, enabling students to transition effectively from classroom learning to real-world applications and opportunities in software development.

While pursuing my education, I ventured into the realm of building custom websites for clients. Each client brought unique requirements, which challenged me to not only understand their vision but also to master the necessary technologies to bring it to life. This hands-on experience was crucial in sharpening my skills and deepening my interest in computer science. Coordinating closely with clients on the end product, I navigated through various aspects of web development from conceptualization to deployment. This process not only enhanced my technical abilities but also honed my interpersonal skills, and was in part responsible for my interest in a career in tech.
