Which is now responsible for all military related additive manufacturing. Setting the standard for the rest of the Navy to follow. -Designed, drafted and produced 5 aviation maintenance related projects under W/C 550 using AutoCAD. Projects included now discontinued C130 Generator essential intake support. Resulting in savings over $80,000 per A/C generator. -Conducted 12 training sessions for W/C 550. Which taught the use of CAD, Slicing software, 3D Printing, and proper maintenance of the program to 20 personnel. Resulting in 5 qualified personnel with no prior experience to Additive Manufacturing.
Avionics Electrician Technician
-Collectively trained and qualified 23 personnel across 115 Collateral Duty Inspector qualifications for 135 electronic systems. Resulting in an 81% increase of mission readiness. -Made a direct impact through mentorship and training on 4 personnel resulting in each receiving a promotion. -Spearheaded the Re-establishment of the Innovation think tank (ITT) gathering a team of like minded individuals to tackle complex issues in the support of Aviation maintenance readiness.-While leading a group of 14 for ITT we were able to design and create an engine dolly for use in junction with the lower quick engine change dolly on C130 engines. Which was able to reduce manpower by 33% while increasing safety and efficiency by over 60%. My design has been implemented throughout the navy.-Ensured documenting proper tool control check out/in procedures daily.-Responsible for over 240 assets requiring calibration and periodic maintenance resulting in a 100% up time on all equipment while under my custody.
Shift Supervisor
-Performed daily scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on 3 Boeing C-40A (equivalent to 737) aircraft in support of worldwide logistics requirements.-Responsible for 6 personnel in the daily performance of aircraft electrical maintenance and pre/post flight operations.-Developed a standardized practice for the training and mentorship of Junior personnel called Plane Captain Academy (PCA) to facilitate a community of education and development.-Throughout the PCA I led over 30 personnel into qualifying 9 Aircraft Inspectors, 29 Auxiliary power unit operators, 14 aircraft handling leads, 23 Support Equipment operators. Resulting in a staggering increase of qualified personnel by over 50% through efforts alone. -Performed 138 launches, 141 recoveries, 36 aircraft moves, and 20 reconfigurations from all passenger to passenger/cargo configurations; accumulated 4538.5 man hours across 906 maintenance action forms; resulting in an outstanding 13615.5 mishap free flight hours across 3/$90,000,000.00 aircraft.
Aviation Electrician
-Enforced all regulations and guidelines for Electrostatic discharge sensitive equipment. -Hand selected for over 7 overseas assignments to Manama Bahrain and Atsuki Japan and Sigonella Italy as an aircraft handler and Avionics Quality assurance Inspector.-Performed Automatic dependant surveillance-broadcast out modification on C-40 aircraft creating a standardized COMSEC operating procedure for the new IFF mode 5. My procedure has been adopted by Naval Air System Commands and disseminated throughout the Navy. Additionally solving aircraft loading software issues creating a resolution fleetwide. Saving the Navy $340,000 per aircraft and an additional 9,010 annually in hardware repair. -Managed and maintained over 1,200 tools with 100% accountability.
