I am committed to developing my personal leadership skills, and I do so by engaging in communities that are intersectional within higher education.I attended Western Kentucky University (c/o 2008) & and Southern Illinois University Carbondale (c/o 2011). I am currently ABD at Miami University in the Educational Leadership, Culture & Curriculum program. My research interests include narratives (seen and unseen) at the intersections of gender, sex, and race. I engage in scholarship related to Black feminist pedagogies, feminist-womanist epistemologies, positionalities/subjectivities that expose intergenerational narratives, joy-work, and the influence on sociocultural foundations of education. Id like to one day teach at the collegiate level. I developed both peer and faculty mentors who opened my eyes to the importance of building a collegiate experience for all that is equitable and a true measure of the success stories that we share.
