I enjoyed 11 years of full-time employment at Mountain View Hospital for their Redicare urgent care clinic and came back to work during Christmas and summer breaks from law school. I performed diagnostic radiographs on economically and socially diverse patients of all age groups as indicated due to illness or injury. I also performed the initial intake of patients obtaining their vital signs, symptoms, and medical history. Other duties included venipuncture and performing various lab testing, splinting of fractures, assisting with laceration and wound preparation, repair, and dressing, and drug screening, spirometry, and other Occupational Health needs. In addition, I fielded phone calls from patients and obtained pre-authorization for advanced imaging from insurance companies.

Pocatello, Idaho

I transferred from the US Army Reserve into the Idaho Army National Guard in order to drill closer to home. I continued participation in monthly drills and annual training when I was based out of the Higher Headquarters Battalion (HHB) in Pocatello, Idaho until my discharge from service.

Salt Lake City, Utah

I joined the US Army Reserve as a Radiologic Technologist in 2005 and was sent to Fort Benning, Georgia for Basic Training. I then completed Phase One of the Radiologic Technologist program at Fort Sam Houston, Texas and Phase Two at Fort Lewis, Washington. Upon my return from training I was stationed out of Fort Douglas, Utah where I participated in monthly drills and annual training.

Salmon, Idaho

I spent some of the best years of my life learning to run the river and guiding youth and parents down rapids on the Salmon River. In 2002, I spent half a summer as a River Guide in Training and two full summers as a River Guide in 2003 and 2004. In 2006, during the time between finishing my Army training and school starting in the fall I spent my last summer as a Bus Driver/River Guide shuttling the participants on a school bus and pulling a trailer with rafts and kayaks.
