My duties included:- providing instruction and guidance to state departments on fiscal and accounting procedures throughout the fiscal year; evaluating submissions from department budget officers to ensure compliance with said policies.- drafting and developing written analyses of the fiscal and programmatic effects of proposed Assembly and Senate legislation related to financial aid and higher education issues, submit Enrolled Bill Reports to provide fiscal policy guidance to the Governor during process of considering whether to sign or veto legislation.- presenting financial aid budget proposals and responding to detailed policy questions from the Legislative Analyst's Office and Assembly and Senate Budget committee consultants.- testifying in legislative hearings to present the Administration's Budget proposals and answering questions from Assembly Members and Senators about sensitive fiscal and policy issues related to the Cal Grant Program, Middle Class Scholarship, Golden State Teacher Grant Program, and California Kids Investment and Development Savings Program and related programs.- tracking and evaluating effects of issues such as the 2023 Budget shortfall, Cal Grant Reform trigger provision, AB 469 requirement that high school seniors complete financial aid applications, post-pandemic higher education enrollment and U.S. federal government changes to the FAFSA on the Administration’s fiscal plan.

I assigned door targets and plotted canvassing routes to increase Democratic base turnout, helped new canvassers knock on doors, organized canvasser hiring paperwork and verified biweekly payroll.

I also organized municipal campaign contributions data requested by Common Cause state chapters.
