Tim Hortons, one of the world’s largest coffee chains renowned for its moderately priced yet high-quality coffee, has expanded into Singapore through a strategic partnership with Marubeni Corporation, facilitated by its Singapore-based subsidiary, Marubeni Growth Capital Asia – or MGCA. With over 5,700 stores across 14 countries, Tim Hortons' first shop opened in 1964 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, founded by Tim Horton, a legendary professional hockey player, along with his cofounder. Known for sourcing only 100% premium Arabica beans responsibly from various parts of the world, Tim Hortons is set to make its mark in Southeast Asia.As part of the launch team, I am thrilled to spearhead the learning and development functions for Tim Hortons' expansion in key markets within Southeast Asia. This entails crafting strategies to ensure the seamless integration of Tim Hortons' culture, values, and operational standards into new markets. We aim to cultivate a skilled and motivated workforce capable of delivering the exceptional Tim Hortons experience to our guests in this dynamic region.
