Working on a variety of legal issues including Supreme Court briefs, opeds, rulemaking comments, direct litigation, and a petition for rulemaking that was adopted by the Department of Energy.

Assisted with the Cato Institute amicus curiae briefs to the Supreme Court in the petition for certiorari. Also worked on Lucia v. SEC, where my arguments were eventually accepted by the Supreme Court. Authored a variety of articles that have appeared in popular outlets.

Assisted with the Cato Institute amicus curiae briefs to the Supreme Court in the petition for certiorari in Hines v. Alldredge, and the merits brief in Luis v. United States. Hines v. Alldredge I supported the First Amendment right of a disabled veterinarian to speak about animal care on his personal blog without first physically examining the animal. In Luis v. United States, I opposed the federal government attempt to seize pretrial all of the defendants property even property unconnected to any crime.

Researched and drafted a memorandum concerning certification of a class action lawsuit on the failure to provide procedural due process (not even a pre-deprivation hearing) by Philadelphia in civil asset forfeiture cases. Assisted in a substantive due process rational basis challenge to restrictions on a cottage food exemption to licensing laws.

Researched and drafted a memorandum for an amicus brief supporting a petition for certiorari in United States v. Cannon which involved the Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009 asserted authority under the Thirteenth Amendment prohibition on slavery. Researched and drafted a memorandum on ATF revocation of Federal Firearms Licensees.

• Examples of what I created (as well as source code) can be seen at http://labs.infragistics.com/silverlight/lobsamples/• Designed several different UI related controls for next generation applications on the Silverlight 2.0 framework using C#.• Worked with the private internal builds of Silverlight 2.0 while in development (and helped Microsoft fix many bugs).• For the hierarchal grid and tree I wrote server side web services using WCF to query data as well as ADO.NET Data Services.

Created many high quality programs and websites internally and internationally in use by over 380 different jurisdictions. Responsible for support and development of all internal and external programming projects.• Designed and built a C# ASP.NET website to allow clients to search and display the approval or revocation letter for over 1,000,000 pieces of gaming equipment using the ASP.NET Ajax Toolkit.• Created an offline application with WPF and SQL Server 2008 express that clients can use to download and search the database of approvals and create reports, all fully encrypted and secure. Used SSL web synchronization and partitioned merge replication to keep up clients synched with up to the minute changes.• Created a Microsoft Sharepoint Server 2007 from scratch for 8 different departments and over 500 users including CSS based theme and custom web parts and custom ASP.NET pages.• Integrated internal project tracking ASP.NET website with Microsoft Dynamics accounting system.

• Managed a team in the development of an open source glass cockpit simulation display for the Embraer regional jet to allow the FAA to test pilots.• Created complex animated instrument controls for displaying aircraft properties in opengl and c++.
