My role as the lead engineer is to oversee all parts of our web application. To make sure our application is built to scale and to add new features in order to attract new clients and add quality of life features to satisfy our existing clients.- I also migrate the backend architecture from Node, Express, MongoDB & Rest APIs to Serverless architecture making use of Appsync Graphql APIs, Dynamodb, Cognito & AWS Lambda with AWS Amplify. This resulted in making the backend more scalable and cost-efficient.- I have updated parts of the frontend architecture from React class-based components to functional components and update redux to using redux toolkit to streamline developer experience.
