Worked for Soft Matter Mechanics Laboratory under Dr. Chandler Benjamin. The project was on "QR decomposition work for parallel plate rheometer".The study included use of Gram Schmidt factorization of the deformation gradient. It is shown that with the use of these kinematics, one can avoid the need for using a convected, curvilinear, coordinate system, which often leads to cumbersome calculations.
