This role started off with contract administration duties such as issuing purchase orders for subcontractors, issuing PPE and uniform to employees, ordering site equipment and ensuring it gets to the relevant site. This role then developed as more experience within the company was gained. This consisted of site visits to cover admins on those sites, shadowing the mobilisation engineers to develop a better understanding of the equipment that was being serviced and organising the leave cover for the employees within our unit. Overall, a very diverse role has been undertaken.

Assisted in the operations control of the entire heavy rigging division. I played a key role in ensuring that rigging teams were always prepared for each project. From organising the correct gear for each job to ensuring the teams are prepared technically for the challenges faced. I worked closely with our rigging crews, building a trust that efficiently prepared us for all tasks undertaken.

Site management in the construction of the prominent Kings Gate estate in Kwazulu-Natal. I personally over saw various quality control tests. These tests consisted of manhole inspections, mirror testing of manholes, pressure testing of both stormwater and sewer lines, water reticulation tests of stormwater lines, subsoil tests and many more. My duties also included the running of day-to-day operations on-site.

Assisted in both the quality control and drafting of designs for various dams, stormwater flow and bridges. Worked closely with and shadowed the head draughtsman a SRK Consulting, giving a much deeper understanding of AutoCAD.

Drakensberg, Kzn, South Africa

Shadowed the site manager during the Sani Pass Road construction. Preformed compaction percentage readings and density moisture content tests from the quarry. Assistant management role to the construction of the road such as machinery transport, cut and fill, tipping of material and making of gabions. Responsible for the reading and assessing of engineering drawings in order to ensure the correct application of quantity surveying tasks and gabion designs.
