About Devon Backstrom
I recently graduated from Portland State University. I'm looking for work within biotechnology as a laboratory technician, laboratory assistant or anything I can do to get additional clinical lab experience in the biology or health fields. I studied general biology but have several years worth of experience working in various laboratory conditions from field work to wet work and working with hazardous materials. I have extensive experience with policy and campaign work as I served for approximately 4 years in student government while in college, including a student intern under Dr. Clucas, a Senator (elected), a Student Fee Committee Chair (elected), and the Academic Affairs Director (Nominated and Confirmed). While serving in student government I also served for 3 years within the Oregon Student Association working on state-wide and national policy, advocacy, lobbying, and voter registration. I'm a bit of a nerd, love the natural sciences and highly detail oriented.
