Facilitate full-day trainings across the state of Iowa to discuss cultural and racial equity and disparity in the child welfare system using two curricula; Race: The Power of an Illusion and Understanding Implicit Racial Bias. Each facilitation day would end with facilitators reviewing feedback from workshop participants and speaking about what they though they did best and what they could work on, while receiving the same feedback from peers. Facilitators would meet quarterly for facilitator training days to practice and develop their skills and share stories and best practices with other facilitators.

Create a daily schedule to ensure the center could run at maximum efficiency, while also utilizing the strengths of individuals and giving them opportunity to develop their skills in other areas. Responsible for hands-on training of staff in 3 main areas: phlebotomy, sample processing, and medical history. Complete daily tasks to ensure shift changes could transition smoothly, and ensure all closing duties were performed correctly to properly close the system for the day and ensure the opening shift had everything needed to run the center on the following morning.

Take plasma samples from complete donations, labeling and scanning the bag and each vial to register them in the system for tracking purposes, and organize them in the appropriate locations, sorted by temperature, and within a set timeframe. In between timers, or with coverage, pull oldest frozen plasma donations to add to a packing order, package, and ship to appropriate laboratories and warehosues for proper testing and use in medical developments.

Greet donors with a friendly demeanor, guide them to a questionaire station, and prompt them to the donor line to be assisted at a medical history station. When seated, take vitals and measuremnets to ensure all numbers fall between appropriate ranges for the safety of the donor and the potential patient after plasma has been processed at labs, after leaving the center.On the occaision that new donors come to the center, get appropriate documentation to register donors into the system, ensure they meet all requirements to give their first donation, and set them up with a nurse for an initial physical and screening before being sent to a senior staff member to ensure the best impression.
