Greetings, my name is Devon Cooper, a Junior Computer Engineering student at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, from the city of brotherly love Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During my matriculation within my college career, I have been afforded many opportunities of leadership and service. Some of these opportunities include serving as the Vice-President of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, following this I became the President for my following term. Other areas of leadership include being appointed Webmaster of the Beta Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. as well as various committees within the chapter. I also have the pleasure of serving as the junior class Chief of Staff for SGA. Further some of my involvements include various service opportunities through being a member of Men on the Move, coupled with my involvement within the Office of Leadership and Civic Engagement. In terms of professional experience, I have worked as an automotive engineering specialist, which groomed my passion for computers and technology. That passion compounded with my experience allowed me to design and build a fully functioning PC. My passion transcends hardware alone, and as someone who seeks knowledge, wisdom and understanding through education, I am taking a plethora of courses which serve as a catalyst for me expanding knowledge. Through my course material I have been able to acquire software proficiencies such as Python, Java, C++ and MATLAB. As I continue to navigate my undergraduate studies, I will continue to broaden my knowledge and education on the given subject matter.
