SIE Society is an organization and platform committed to convening the social impact entertainment community to network, collaborate, access valuable resources, and learn from some of the greatest voices in the impact entertainment space. As Head of Community Engagement and Outreach, my responsibilities include keeping a pulse on what is happening in the SIE space and strategizing on how to bring together the community for collaborative and educational purposes. As part of the leadership team, I assist in identifying partnering organizations and advisors for our community, locating valuable academic and entertainment-based resources and case studies, and helping build out our online navigating ecosystem of SIE-related organizations. I also manage SIE Society's social media accounts (@siesociety) to engage with the impact entertainment community to share resources, recruit new members, and identify SIE-related initiatives and events for the site's global calendar.

Lead the impact campaign for THE FIRST STEP, a documentary that follows Van Jones as he attempts to bring bipartisan advocates and politicians together in order to pass a landmark criminal justice bill. Through this campaign, I collaborated with the filmmakers on the impact strategy and independent distribution of the film. Created and managed impact-focused campaigns and events surrounding social impact entertainment, social justice issues and civic engagement, in order to engage and drive targeted audiences & communities to take action in their every day lives and/or entertainment focused work.I produced the award-winning 'Can You Hear Us?' campaign surrounding Hulu's documentary "I Am Greta," which focused on uplifting local youth climate action efforts and intergenerational allyship in the climate movement, and elevating the intersectionality and accessibility of organizing. I also programmed the "Documenting the Climate Crisis" workshop at the 2020 Hollywood Digital Climate Summit, focusing on how documentary filmmakers can inspire change and successfully influence climate policy through their stories and accompanying campaigns.

As Project Coordinator, my responsibilities to support and promote the mission of the Center included the planning and execution of social impact entertainment screenings and events, and coordinating collaborations with like-minded organizations within the social impact and entertainment space. During my time at Skoll, I helped organize the second annual Spark Change Summit, a day long event for social impact entertainment filmmakers and practitioners, which comprised of workshops, presentations, break out sessions, and networking opportunities. I was also proudly a part of a two person team who produced the fully accessible LA premiere for the Oscar-nominated short film, "Feeling Through," to 100+ members of LA's DeafBlind community with open captioning, audio-descriptive devices, and a team of ASL and tactile interpreters (Check out the video below!) Other notable events include: a "Financing Social Impact Entertainment" event in partnership with the Producers Guild of America, which brought leading voices in the producing impact space to film students on campus; and an impact screening and Q&A of the film 'Just Mercy' with human rights attorney Nazareth Haysbert to help create a meaningful and educational discussion around the social issues depicted in the film.
