Hi! My name is Devon Duckworth. Most people call me “D”. I’m an extremely hard worker and a perfectionist. I’m also an empath, so I don’t hold others to my personal high standards but I’m also willing to help and teach if others are willing to listen and learn. I’m also perpetually looking to learn from others too. Every interaction is a learning opportunity and a a chance to grow as a person. This attitude has never leant itself well to environments that are more concerned with profit over people. Starbucks is a shining example. I joined them, at an idealistically optimistic 18 years old, because they were a company that shared my ideas of how people should be treated… then they became a billion dollar corporation during COVID quarantine. This was already well after they stopped donating food to the homeless and doing more than “starting a conversation”. I don’t fit in if money is the motivating factor so don’t even bother.
