Devon DuPuy was born in Odessa, Texas, home of the Permian Panthers. Get your MoJo going! Although his family retains many ties to Odessa, at a young age Devon and his family moved to Lewisville, Texas, where the majority of his formative years were spent. During this time Devon discovered his love for the martial arts and would obtain his 4th Dan Black Belt in American Karate as well as years of training in the arts of Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Devon applied this knowledge over roughly 13 years of training students and running various martial arts schools in the Lewisville area.Devon graduated from University of North Texas with a bachelors in political science and a minor in economics in 2004. He then moved to Florida and attended Barry University of Law and graduated with his Juris Doctor in 2007. Upon graduating, Devon quickly moved back to his beloved Texas and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2008. Devon is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts and has been a proud member of the Denton County Bar Association since 2008.Devon was one of a team of 3 lawyers who won the biggest medical malpractice jury verdict in Denton County history since Tort Reform in 2009. Devon was also responsible for authoring and handling the appellate process in the case which included an appeal to the 2nd Fort Worth Court of Appeals as well as the Texas Supreme Court on the issue of expert report sufficiency prior to the successful jury trial.Devon is currently a managing partner of The DuPuy Law Firm where he is known for the consistently aggressive advocacy of his clients; however, his real passion in life is spending time with his kids and his amazing wife, West Coast swing dancing with his wife, learning Hindi, and watching Bollywood movies.
