Animals have always been an important part of my life. It wasn’t until I was attending college, however, that I discovered my love for veterinary medicine as it allowed me to be the ultimate advocate for those without a voice. Since then I have worked in all positions within the veterinary hospital structure- from kennel attendant to management, customer service to technical. I have worked in general practice, specialty and emergency hospital. Although I love all areas of practice I am drawn to emergency and specialty medicine. It didn’t take me long to realize I wanted to become a manager to offer other veterinary professionals a positive, inclusive, and encouraging resource to become the animal advocates they are working to become. After many years and several hospitals, I have found my heart hospital. I am grateful and humbled to be the Operations Manager for Horizon Veterinary Specialists. With Horizon, I am challenged, inspired, enriched, and fulfilled everyday while also having the privilege to work alongside an incredible team of compassion veterinary professionals.
