After completing a summer clerkship with Husch in the Fall of 2020, I returned to join the firm full time in the commercial litigation group. I am rapidly gaining experience in drafting petitions, responses, and even appellate briefs. I have become a proficient researcher, prioritizing efficiency while leaving no stone unturned. I have worked on real estate, employment, bankruptcy, insurance defense and mass tort matters and am expanding my reach every day. Additionally, I am heavily involved in the firm's pro bono practice, focusing on family law and real estate disputes.

As a summer extern in Judge Africk's chambers, I assisted Judge and his clerks on researching complex civil and criminal legal questions, and drafting judicial opinions. I also attended status conferences, hearings, and sentencings to learn how litigation is conducted at a real-world pace.

I used my strategic planning and organizational skills to design and execute a series of three- and four-day leadership training conferences for members of the United States Air Force.

I served as the first point of contact between the firm and all clients. My primary responsibilities included planning week-long business meetings for groups of 10 to 500, including flights, hotels and meal functions. I also helped to manage the firm's fundraising arm, through which I created promotional materials for more than 60 congressional fundraisers, raising from $10,000 to $90,000. I promoted and maintained the U.S. Peanut PAC, including managing and executing the semiannual fundraising raffles and the 25 cent per ton grower checkoff program, raising combined totals in excess of $150,000 annually.

I served on the executive board to direct all outreach and communications efforts by SGA. I strategically created and promoted awareness campaigns and student events, including the first ever SGA Shout Week, an outreach initiative to gauge student ideas and concerns. I delegated social media, website and other management tasks to Director of PR and Communications Board and oversaw their work.

Athens, Georgia Area

I created the Red Ribbon Fundraising Gala, the first upscale event benefiting UGA HEROs. The gala raised $8,000 with over 100 guests in attendance. I also planned all logistics for the first ever UGA HEROs Greek Week, bringing the traditional competition back to UGA for the first time in decades. I led a committee of 41 members and oversaw the planning and execution of dozens of small-scale events as well as four large events throughout the year. I also personally fundraised to provide quality of life care programs for children in Georgia affected by HIV/AIDS.

I improved HEROs social media sites, profiles and blogs while directing a committee of 24 members. I increased the account's Twitter followers by 20 percent and its Facebook engagement by 28 percent. I wrote and submitted press releases and created marketing campaigns to promote fundraising and awareness events. I worked to uphold positive relationships with fellow campus philanthropies.

I planned and executed two large fundraising events throughout the year, Gamma Phi Beta Crescent Classic and Chili Cookoff, each raising over $7,000 for various philanthropic organizations. I designed campaigns including social media and traditional promotional tactics to increase participation and attendance at all events. I initiated the relationship between my chapter and the local chapter of Girls On The Run, engaging 40 sorority members to become GOTR mentors. I used my interpersonal skills to promote philanthropic involvement throughout the chapter, as well as across the UGA Greek community.

Delta Upsilon Chapter

I maintained constant contact with Gamma Phi Beta's International Headquarters, Regional Coordinator, and chapter advisors. I submitted all forms according to deadlines. I directed the sorority's administrative department, including assistants, historian and technology chairwoman. I planned all visits from Collegiate Leadership Consultants, coordinating their schedules for their annual week-long visit. I worked with various professionals to design and create the 2013 chapter composite.

I developed content and managed communities for all Turner Classic Movies social platforms and created strategies for the introduction of new platforms, Tumblr and Pinterest. I completed a research project where I identified and cultivated relationships with 104 prominent social influencers across platforms. I also analyzed and communicated patterns in fan interest to inform other departments’ consumer outreach. My internship experience culminated in a presentation to the entire social media department, including marketing executives. Several of my ideas pitched in that presentation are now being implemented at TCM.

I created the monthly schedule for all youth programs, planning biweekly social events for students in grades 6-12. I created event flyers and distributed informational packets to parents and students.

I served as an ambassador to families and children staying at the campground. I planned and executed multiple daily activities for children. I worked in customer service to ensure all campground guests had best experience possible. I maintained professional relationships with managers and fellow employees, including coworkers of all ages from every part of the United States and international workers.

I conducted scheduling of all customer appointments and coordination with the availability of 9 staff members. I executed product and service sales transactions for all customers and closed out all outstanding tickets- totaling up to $2000 daily. I also handled customer service and furthered overall customer experience by creating a hospitable and relaxing atmosphere to enhance their salon experience, in person, over the phone, and via email. My responsibilities also included organizing private salon events such as bridal showers and couples “date night” packages. While in this position, I increased salon organization and improved the efficiency of scheduling between clients and stylists.
