Ceresville Mansion, located in Frederick, Maryland was built in 1888 and was home to the Shriner family before becoming an event venue. Throughout the years as an event venue, the owners of Ceresville have tried to preserve the mansion to keep the originality of the home alive. Ceresville Mansion is host to numerous weddings year-round, along with corporate meetings, holiday parties, bat mitzvahs, birthday celebrations, and anniversary dinners. The staff of Ceresville Mansion prides themselves on offering a full-service venue for their clients, and their ability to help their clients plan their event from start to finish. During my ten weeks with Ceresville Mansion, I worked in the sales department during the summer I and II semesters of 2014. The majority of my work with Ceresville focused on event planning and assisting with the events at Ceresville Mansion, but a portion of my time with Ceresville was also spent marketing for them.
