Aspiring psychologist, insatiably driven. Studying Psychology as an undergraduate at the University of Manchester and eager to seize as many opportunities to expand my skills and knowledge as possible. I aim to apply what skills I've already amassed in the meantime to propel myself into the heights of my aspirations - as someone with a passion for the exploration of impossibly elaborate concepts, I strive to build on my understanding of people, their minds, and interactions between them, both by pushing myself in my studies, and seeking opportunities beyond it to learn even more.Always characterised by my peers as being highly able in what I do, I pride myself in my proficiency in building skills and applying those I already have. I have a love for using my passion for my interests, from music, to science, to gaming, among other things to drive me to pour hundreds of hours into studying, practicing, or creating with no prompt by my own volition; If I am engaged, I will always excel, and if I notice any shortcomings, I will always overcome them.Eccentric but still down-to-earth, I love both to learn and to discuss. I'm a proud person; I settle for little less than perfection, though I remain humble - not so much as to lose sight of my achievements and strengths, but to always stay aware that there is room to improve, and to strive to do exactly that.As for my achievements: Academically, despite the challenges of the covid epidemic, in 2021 I graduated secondary school with an average grade of 8.5 out of 9, and would go on to achieve all As in college, despite two infamously difficult A-levels: Maths and Physics. Recreationally, I have competed both in sport and in video games at a national standard, taking home medals and prizes. Additionally, I am a self-taught musician, both proficient in playing piano and producing electronically; I have released two EPs and want to continue to create more and better music.More on my interests - there is a dichotomy to my most deep-seated fascinations: one on hand the mechanisms of the universe; physics, how unfathomable yet how intuitive the rules of the world operate, even moreso than the paradox-prone axioms of mathematics. While on the other hand, the somehow more complex nature of our minds, emotions and behaviours, the capacity of the brain both in and out of the confines of reality.A brief summary: I'm capable, driven, and passionate, but ultimately human, and eager to work on my shortcomings. I aspire to be more knowledgeable and more skilled, and will seek out opportunities to achieve such.
