Current- 40 Hours/Week in the Permanency Unit of Child Welfare- Worked in congruence with families during very trying periods of their lives. - Engaged with families and referred them to services in order to ameliorate safety threats preventing safe parenting practices. - Experience speaking before a court to update necessary parties on progress made towards reunification. - Drafted funding requests, and referrals for psychological evaluations, bus passes, and family services.- Attended and facilitated Family Decision Meetings, court hearings, and worked towards the goal of reunification.- Performed home visits, walkthroughs, and kid transports with an engaging, welcoming, and empathetic demeanor.- Worked with families to understand government processes in a manner that is accessible to all.- 40 Hours/Week working as a Screener at the Oregon Child Abuse Hotline- Intake concerns by communicating with reporters about potential reports of child abuse. - Retrieved information in a concise and efficient manner to send reports to workers to conduct child safety assessments. - Spoke with individuals in an empathetic manner when they are often in a heightened state. - Assessed information and made screening decisions relating to a timeframe of child welfare response. - Tailored and nuanced communication to retrieve information that would affect screening decisions.
