Duties consist of working closely to Assistant Administrative Director and Director to edit and create digital posts used in emails, updates to donors and on social media platforms. Maintain presence on social media platforms by engaging with public and responding to comments/direct messages. Follow marketing calendar provided by Director and schedule graphic design posts prior to due date. Coordinate verbiage and written description of posts with Assistant Director to create consistency in email blasts and social media posts. Manage the Linktr.ee account and keep direct links updated. Consolidate a list of hashtags used on posts to reach a wider network of people on Instagram. Take lead on constructing templates, creating topics and posting to the public for “Choreography Forums” by using stories (IG)/polls (FB). Adapting posts to fit the culture of the social media platform—Keeping Instagram short to the point, posting longer videos to IG TV, creating IG TV folders, Reels. Facebook adapting posts to including direct link or adapting edited photos to one photo.

Duties consist of holding a regional account (IG and Twitter) for UDA and document personal experience at regional summer camps, international events, and competitions. This is the main customer service connection to the young athletes. Create “camp specific” hashtag that dancers and coaches will use while at summer camps. On the off time engage with the athletes, coaches, and team handles. Repost on personal story, link and comment. If camp is preselected to use the corporate handle, represent the company on a wider scale via snapchat and IG story. Repost marketing ads from corporate accounts. Write articles for Varsity Dance’s blog. Attend bimonthly meetings lead by Social Media Director and State Director. At regional and national competitions, when not judging, collect content for corporate handle. Work with a team of staff to report real time results on twitter, take photos/collect photos from professional photographers, update IG stories, and create “final results” photos of award ceremony. Work discreetly to ensure not in the frame of ESPN cameras, crowd, and judges.
