WG-5 Step 2:At Joshua Tree National Park I was a drystone specialist and I built many granite stairways and structures across the park. During the hotter months, when exposed to temperatures in excess of 105 F, my team and I would scrape graffiti off of natural and historic structures.

6 months in the woods. No cell phones, or outside contact besides the packer team. That would come through once a week. 8 miles in, West of Clarks Range in Southern Yosemite. Trail building, cutting out white thorn, rolling boulders across mountain sides, and running chainsaws to cut out bound trees were all apart of the 4/10 schedule. A completely sober program, with requirements that turned a normal 10 hour day into a 14-15 hour day. Arduous work but it helped shape me into the person I am today. On your 3 day weekends we would hike upwards of 60 miles to explore and discover the wilderness.

An enriching and demanding profession that required at minimum 20 hours of personal time devoted to maintenance and prep for a full work week.● Danced in and assisted in staging multi-million dollar ballet productions, producing a unified expression of art under extremely tight deadlines.● Assisted in fundraising efforts for the company, personally bringing in an additional $20K in revenue from donors and benefactors.

A developmental program that brought various young adults together to learn hard work, discipline, resource management, and potentially skills that they could garnish into a career. We were paid pennies to clean out homeless camps, do erosion control on Devils Elbow, pound steel rods through trees to make salmon habitats, trail building, and numerous other positions. One position that I did not intend to be filling but I was place in for 3 months, was a line cook for a facility of 150 people. I was hoping for the tough outdoor labor but they heard I was a good cook. Once they accepted that I was better used hauling and swinging an axe, I was transferred to a trail crew. A critical and pivotal time in my life and I would not be the same without my CCC mentors.

Starting ballet at the age of 3, I trained primarily with a small Studio called Inland Pacific Ballet. Trained in summer dance intensives with companies like; American Ballet Theatre, San Francisco Ballet, Milwaukee Ballet, and Atlanta Ballet.
