I am responsible for assembling and testing various medical devices and equipment. My role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment. My primary focus while in training was on Advanced Claim Writing in the field of mechanical engineering and physics sciences. I was working on improving my Dutch language skills with a focus on attaining Dutch and European Patent Attorney qualifications.

As a registered professional engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa, I was responsible for serving internal customers on various technical issues related to mining equipment, such as hoisting, trackless mobile machinery, and ventilation systems. My activities included handling legal and technical requirements, leading availability-safety-and-cost improvement projects, overseeing technical governance, and commissioning capital installations. I was also involved in designing modifications to production equipment and testing and monitoring their performance. One of my key responsibilities was to facilitate due diligence on in-house engineering design competency.

I worked as part of a dedicated engineering team for the local assembly of safety-critical automotive components as a tier 1 supplier to VW, BMW and Toyota.
