Signal Officer and Special Projects Officer for a Rear Detachment Brigade Support Battalion. Responsible for advising the Battalion Commander and subordinates on all aspects of garrison communications networks and assets to include communications security, automations and video teleconferencing (VTC). Charged with overseeing the operation of the Battalion communications shop to include direct level maintenance, NIPR/SIPR connectivity and preparation for redeployment. Exercise staff supervision over communications training, personnel and equipment. As the Special Projects Officer, served as a Delegate at the FY09 Fort Benning, GA Army Family Action Plan conference and was chosen to brief the Commanding General on the work group's initiatives. Also served as the Summary Courts Martial Officer for 3 SCMs and the Investigative Officer for an Article 32(b) hearing which helped lead to the Service Member's conviction. While working with the S-4 (Logistics) shop, served as the Investigative Officer for 3 Financial Liability Investigations of Property Loss, all of which were closed out in a timely manner. Coordinated Morale Welfare and Recreation funds and organized a Battalion Bowling event for the 203D families. As the Rear Detachment S-6, closed out nearly 100+ work orders, prepared the Battalion for effective communications during redeployment and reintegration ensuring all user accounts, computers, printers, phones and faxes were set-up, reimaged and active for all Commanders, First Sergeants and Primary Staff. Oversaw all troubleshooting that took place during this process and actively worked with the Brigade S-3 (intel)/6 shops in order to obtain SIPR reaccreditation for the Battalion HQ.Stepped into the role of Rear Detachment Commander for 203D Brigade Support Battalion that resulted in outstanding performance of the unit each time served.

Signal Officer for a Brigade Support Battalion in support of 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division. Responsible for providing and maintaining tactical communications networks and assets, to include FM radios, single channel tactical satellites, blue force trackers, movement tracking systems, command post of the future, automations and video teleconferencing. Responsible for the storage, security and distribution of COMSEC equipment. Additional duties included Battalion Safety Officer and Public Affairs Officer.July 2008-January 2009Reestablished Battalion's communications network and automations reset during redeployment and reintegration. Planned and executed a Battalion COMMEX quickly identifying shortcomings and deficiencies in preparation of major future training events. Ensured that the Battalion HQ and all subordinate units were able to communicate on a daily basis during all training events. January-June 2009Conducted 2 multi-week CPN exercises, 2 TOC setups and deployed to the field in support of a Battalion level training exercise. Recognized training shortfalls and sought out educational opportunities to ensure that her shop was more technically competent. Fully supported every fielding, new operator training and installation of communications. As the OIC for a Partners-In-Education event, organized and executed a multi-battalion event for local students.June-October 2009Prior to deployment to NTC, Fort Irwin, CA, employed and ensuring all systems were operational during the Brigade's HUBBEX. Conducted inventories and ensured upload of the Battalion's communications support during all operations at NTC. Coordinated with NTC communications personnel and contractors in order to obtain on-site movement tracking system training for the Battalion. In preparation for deployment, oversaw the inventory and complete rail load, line haul and STRATAIR deployment of all the Battalion's communications equipment to Kuwait and Iraq.

Signal Officer for a Brigade Support Battalion in Support of Multi National Division Central (MND-C) and Rear Detachment. Responsible for advising the Battalion Commander and subordinates it’s on all aspects of garrison and tactical communications networks and assets, to include tactical FM and AM radios, single channel tactical satellite, communication security, automation and video teleconferencing. Charged with overseeing the operation of the Battalions communication shop to include direct level maintenance, COMSEC storage, and distribution. Responsible for the training and professional development of the Battalion S-6 shop. Exercise staff supervision over communications training, personnel, and equipment.Arrived to the Battalion towards the end of the OIF V deployment and immediately began preparing the battalion for effective communications during redeployment. Coordinated and supervised the installation of all telephone and Internet systems during the relocation of the Battalion and it’s 4 companies while working with FBGA DOIM. Singlehandedly managed the accreditation process of the SIPR Network for the Battalion while preparing for the MIP (Marne Inspection Program) inspection.

Operations Officer and Company Executive officer for a 154-person forward-deployed signal company geographically dispersed to provide 24-hour strategic communications and information systems support to joint and combined elements of the CFC, USFK, and EUSA in the southern portion of the Republic of Korea. Responsible for monitoring 16 communications facilities with over 1100 world-wide circuits, 8500 telephone lines, and 340 km of fiber optic cable, line-of-sight radio transmission systems, and critical intelligence transmission systems, including the satellite gateway for the Korean peninsula, all valued in excess of $20 million. Responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising upgrades for the companies communications assets. Additional duties included: 1st and 3rd Platoon Leader and Company Safety Officer. Monitored the largest network in the brigade in the largest strategic area of responsibility on the Korean peninsula. Supported unit training, planned and executed company level network universities, multiple live fire ranges and and helped prepare the leaders of tomorrow by planning 2 successful Cadet Troop Leading Training iterations. Planned monthly platoon and company functions such as fundraisers, BBQs and Hail and Farewell events.
