A driven individual with the community at the heart of everything I do, at 14 I began raising money for different charities, organising & hosting an event in aid of Help for Heroes raising over £2,000. At 15, I started volunteering for a local community cafe that opened it's doors to school children twice weekly free of charge to provide them with a safe & diverse space to socialise with new and old friends, I continued in this voluntary role for 2 years until I moved away from the area.At 17, I joined full-time employment at a local food establishment before moving over 200 miles away from family to start a new employment with PGL Travel. It was here where I enhanced my skills working with children & vulnerable adults, taking persons with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) on extreme sports experiences including Sailing, Zip Wire, & Abseiling, as well as running team building activities.In 2020, following a mass redundancy, I relocated back to the East of England and began my career with the Ambulance Service. I entered the East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST) as an Emergency Dispatch, coordinating ambulance responses to life-threatening emergencies. This role required significant amounts of focus and high pressure decision making in life & death scenarios. I spent over 2 years in this role before becoming an Incident Command Desk (ICD) Supervisor on a 12-Month-Secondment.The on-duty ICD Supervisor provides a single point for command, control, & coordination of large and/or unusual incidents, as well as being responsible for the deployment of senior incident commanders, and specialist assets such as the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART). Following this secondment, I was successful in the recruitment for a full time position.Having now worked very closely with Resilience & Specialist Operations for over 18 months, I have found a passion for Emergency Preparedness and continue to develop myself with the view of joining this sector one day.
