The highlight of this work is the Gateway to Opportunity (G2O) program, a 6-week workforce learning program where young people are paid in the workplace to develop their 21st century skills, social emotional learning, and share their wisdom while completing a community impact project. By engaging in the program's youth-adult partnership model, participating host sites develop and expand the tools to build and maintain more youth-friendly workplaces for the emerging workforce in Maine.
