The D.E.A.R. Foundation Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) new non-profit organization aimed to protect immigrant rights and to promote social justice through legal empowerment programs such as educational activities and legal support. At D.E.A.R. we offer pro-bono and low-bono immigration services in the following areas: Naturalization and Adjustment of Status, Consular Processing, U-Visa/VAWA claims, TPS, DACA, Travel Authorization and Humanitarian Parole, Affirmative and Defensive Asylum Applications, Affirmative and Removal SIJS including Custody, Withholding of Removal and Deportation Defense, PD and I-246 stay of deportation services. We also offer supplemental support to newly arrived immigrants such as criminal defense representation and family law matters.

Presented legal memoranda of issues involved in immigration adjudications, including appropriate suggestions or recommendations to the judges for written decisions.

Focused on improving client intake/interaction and case management skills, directing cases from start to finish. Worked with the refugee population primarily doing I-730 Reunification Petitions and I-485 application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.

Pro bono focus on assisting refugees, victims of crime, and indigent clients to obtain various humanitarian immigration benefits. Assisted individuals in family-based adjustment of status petitions, naturalization and green card renewal, disability, pardon, or financial need-based waivers, employment authorization, visas for victims of crimes, and deferred action for DREAM act candidates.

I worked with an experienced attorney and talented staff to help clients obtain various immigration benefits, including: business, fiancé, and student visas, employment authorization, family-based adjustment of status, naturalization, visas for victims of crimes, and cancelation of removal. Helped to conduct legal research and draft affidavits, memos, and briefs. Interviewed and facilitated bilingual communication with clients.
