Current* Design of custom industrial equipment including pressure vessels per ASME Section VIII Division 1, dust collectors, bucket- elevators, pre-fabricated buildings, process piping and ventilation systems, vacuums up to 200Hp, cyclone and air wash separators, screw conveyor and sweeper-floor recovery systems, roll-up, swing and bi-fold doors, Gloveboxes, DOT trailers, abrasive metering valves, analog and digital circuitry, and printed circuit boards.* Design custom fixtures, tooling and procedures for stress-tests and validation of critical load-bearing components.* Documentation and development of designs in SolidWorks, Pro-E and AutoCAD and maintaining company database in PDM.* Designed 3D printed parts for prototype molds and custom tooling.* Utilized FEA and hand calculations for determining working stresses in beams, plates, columns, vessels, anchorages, lifting lugs and castings.* Sizing and selection of power transmission components including diesel engines, electric motors, pneumatic and hydraulic motors and actuators, gearboxes, clutches, sprockets and sheaves for direct, chain and belt drives.* Created custom mold designs for iron, aluminum and urethane castings.* Designed a unique intrinsically-safe pneumatically-operated remotely-controlled abrasive metering/shut-off valve that is becoming an industry standard. This valve is easier to adjust and less expensive to maintain than any competitive product on the market today.* Responsible for creating production drawings and B.O.M.'s.* Provide technical and engineering expertise for estimates and bid proposals* Supervision of shop personnel and subcontractors performing site work.* Performed seismic and wind lateral load calculations for buildings and equipment.* Responsible for design, stress calculations and testing of lifting-eyes to assure safety factors and contract specifications are met.* Setup and calibration of CNC Plasma-cutting stations and generation of G-code and M-code files.
