I am an innovative, outside-the-box, patient-centered physician/scientist/activist/artist with broad training in the basic sciences, medicine, humanities and music. Having spent months on a ventilator in an ICU, I am immensely compassionate and understand what it is to be a "patient". I can speak and understand the language of science and biotechnology, translate it into understandable terms for non-scientists, and find innovative ways to apply it across disciplines to solve big problems, like cancer. I have the drive and vision to bring together groups of diverse people to achieve a common goal, whether it's creating the highest fundraising team for a foundation, developing a statewide tumor bank to support cancer research, educating physicians and patients about physician aid-in-dying, or lobbying for bills to support clinical trials.As the landscape of medicine changes in this country, I look forward to collaborations with like-minded humanitarians who want to do the right thing for the right reasons. My vision is to develop a multi-disciplinary cancer clinic that focuses on people, not profit.
