Responsible for coordination, development, and overseeing of the Enterprise Risk Management program and risk management activities at Keesler Federal Credit Union.

• Develops an annual plan for audit projects which, at a minimum, shows the objective of the audit, the audit steps, the audit frequency, and a financial budget.• Prepares formal reports documenting audits performed, the results of those audits, management responses to completed audits, and recommendations for improvement of existing systems.• Discusses with department heads, any irregularities or deficiencies in generally accepted accounting principles, adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.• Supervises and trains all Internal Audit Department employees.• Reports evidence of theft, fraud and other criminal violations directly to the President and the Supervisory Committee Chairman.• Responsible for compliance with all Federal regulations. • Works closely with Supervisory Committee, CPA firm, NCUA examiners and other outside audit groups.

• Conduct or assist in conducting assigned audits and reviews in accordance with the annual audit plan.• Review work of other auditors to ensure audit objectives were met. • Assist in the development of the annual audit plan and schedule for audit projects. • Supervise and assist with the training of other Internal Auditors. • Prepare Supervisory Committee reports and attend Supervisory Committee and Senior Management meetings in the absence of the Vice President Internal Audit. • Serve as a backup to the Vice President Internal Audit when appropriate. • Coaches staff to meet personal, departmental, and organizational goals.

• Obtained and analyzed sufficient documentary evidence as a basis for formulating an objective opinion on the operations being audited. • Prepared and assisted in the preparation of acceptable working papers which support the conclusions reached and any findings and recommendations made concerning the operations and activities being audited. • Conducted investigations into member complaints and reported findings. • Worked closely with the CPA firm and NCUA examiners.
