I graduated from Xavier University with my bachelor's in biology and magna cum laude honors in 2022. I spent the following academic year as an Environmental Health Research Fellow with the Association of Public Health Laboratories- working at the New Jersey Department of Health to develop and validate a new method for water testing. My research experience includes public health, environmental health, and clinical research. I've helped study coordinators with data entry and organization to ensure protocol compliance and study efficacy, as well as data collection for multiple studies primarily focused on COVID-19 and monoclonal antibodies. I'm trained in various laboratory techniques including solid phase extraction, liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry, microscopy, phlebotomy, and qPCR. I have extensive experience working for and with others, as well as managing teams of individuals working toward a common goal. During my time at Xavier University, I was a founding member of a campus organization for students with type 1 diabetes. I held the treasurer position for three years before stepping up as vice president of the organization during my senior year. Having been diagnosed with the condition in 2004, building a community of students impacted by diabetes and collaborating to educate our peers was incredibly rewarding.
