During my time at SEEK I worked predominately in the candidate space (www.seek.com.au). My main focus was on delivering the best user experience to candidates across core flows such Job Apply & Sign In and Register and many other secondary flows. A large chunk of this work was replacing existing UI’s with responsive React based apps while using & contributing to various libraries such public libraries such as seek-style-guide and other internal ones.

Part of my time at SEEK has been working remotely, initially from September 2016 to September 2017 and then again from September 2018 to April 2019.

Employed to work across the Console real estate agency product suite, initially my role was focused on supporting and building client websites on the legacy website framework. I quickly progressed into managing this same stream of work. Which included managing a mix of internal & external resources, handling majority of communication between the Product Owner, the implementation, team & Developers. Apart of this I was the acting Scrum Master for the project which included the management of sprints, running stand ups, showcases and team performance reporting. As a need arose for a improved client website framework, I (initially in my own time) setup about conducting not only technical but also Business Analysis of solution options on look and feel combined with integration with existing systems. My analysis resulted in business approval for an internal project to be commissioned and a team to be formed. Together we developed and released a new web templating engine within 8 weeks. The reception of the business and clients was extremely positive and sales for client websites for that section of the business dramatically increased. Initially engaged to develop the Kathmandu mobile site within an aggressive time frame, my role was to work within a small dedicated team to ensure the site was delivered on time and to client satisfaction, the site was well received by Kathmandu.Another major project I worked on was as part of a team of 5-8 developers. This was a full desktop and mobile site built using SiteCore for HBF. Tablet devices display the desktop site with modifications for touch and to ensure that mobile devices had a dedicated site.The final major project I was engaged with during my employment with Tundra was converting a fixed width site to a responsive site for Rationale. On this project I was not only the main Front end Developer but was also responsible for any changes required to the Drupal back end. For this project I was also involved in the creation of documentation such as the functional specification. Alongside development, I also assisted the company into moving from internally hosted emails to a hosted exchange solution and other technical issues. During my time at Tusk I worked on various projects which ranged from holding pages and CMS driven websites (Tusk CMS) to Facebook app pages, eCommerce sites and Campaign Monitor setup (eMail templating). This was for a variety of clients such as the Gold Coast Suns FC, Think Mobile, National Mortgage Company, Scody and Jupiters Casino.
