Dr. De Vondalyn Patterson Hughes is an esteemed educator with over twenty years’ experience in the education profession. Since earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Florida State University in 2003, Dr. De Vondalyn sought out to make her mark in the classroom setting. Her teaching expertise spans from middle school to collegiate levels. To further her personal educational pursuits, she completed her Master of Arts in Education degree, specializing in curriculum and instruction in 2007 to expand her distinctive knack for designing niche lessons to both challenge and engage her students. Dr. Hughes is a formidable force in the classroom as well in the education field itself, as, through her sheer grit, perseverance, and determination, she continued her personal educational pursuits and secured her doctorate degree in educational leadership from Florida Southern College in 2024. Dr. De Vondalyn’s impassioned love for education radiates from her pores to the classroom and distends throughout the community. Whether in the classroom, conference room, or auditorium, Dr. Patterson Hughes endeavors to utilize her innate skillset of niche curriculum design and instructional delivery coupled with her decades of academic knowledge to reach back and pay it forward, educating others to strive for excellence and be about achieving their future pursuits.
