Currently a Registered Nurse/PRN Charge nurse at OSU medical center in Medsurg float pool. I have gained valuable experience in patient care, prioritization, documentation, and team work. I received by Associated Degree in Nursing in May of 2019 and should complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in December of 2024. While working at OSUMC I also accepted a position at Hillcrest hospital Claremore as a Perioperative nurse. This position included pre-operative, post anesthesia, and endoscopy duties as well as occasionally being helping hands to the circulating nurse during on-call evening cases. In addition to the clinical experience I have gained working at OSU and HHC, I have experience as a labor and postpartum doula, childbirth educator, lactation counselor, and have taken numerous courses and workshops in various perinatal fields. This gives me a unique perspective, enhances my ability to meet the physical and emotional needs of a variety of patients, and maintain a high level of patient satisfaction by providing compassionate and quality care. I have experience using the DISC personality assessment to attune to the needs of different personality types and interact with patients based on their unique personalities.Previous to changing careers, I owned and operated a tile installation business as a licensed contractor, where I gained experience including customer service and satisfaction, leadership, as well as, working with a team of other contractors and employees to achieve common goals and meet important deadlines.
