I am a researcher passionate about connecting fundamental engineering research to the development of technology that benefits society, as well as teaching and mentorship of the next generation engineers and scientists. I am passionate about developing technology that can improve society for all, increasing the efficiency, cleanliness, and resilience of our communities.I earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado, where I developed a in-situ electric impedance sensing technique for radio-frequency power amplifiers in varying load scenarios, which enables efficiency improvements in next-generation communication and radar systems via adaptive technologies. I became experienced in RF engineering and engineering research, developing skills in RF and analog circuit design, mathematics and scripting, methodical test development and execution, and academic writing, publishing, and presentation. As a senior RF and hardware design engineer at CesiumAstro, I applied my RF design skills to practical product design, while also growing in technical leadership as I worked with a multidisciplinary team, owned system requirements, and led environmental and RF test planning.I have also been passionate about teaching and mentorship throughout my career. Beginning with an electrical lab assistant role as a undergraduate student, I continued to invest in this calling through my graduate career with two teaching and lab assistant positions, five guest and substitute lectures at the graduate and undergraduate level, mentorship of a student in RF research through CU's Discovery Learning Apprenticeship program, and an official lecturer appointment for the graduate-level Active Microwave Circuits class.
