About Devon Hopkins

I am a creator, marketer, brand builder, and mindfulness coach. I currently run marketing for Invoke, where we’re building open source generative AI tools for professional studios.I have always been passionate about the intersection of art and technology. As a gay kid, two of my safe spaces to express myself were in the theater and in video games (primarily MMORPGs). I graduated from Wesleyan University with a double major in Dance and Psychology, where I studied how visual communication norms in social media influenced our perception of our embodied self. Since then, I’ve spent more than 15 years working in the tech industry, with a majority of that time spent working with and building products for creatives. I have built marketing teams, brands, and products at some of the most exciting venture-backed B2B SaaS startups, including Artsy, the world’s largest marketplace for buying and selling fine art online. Along the way, I got certified in mindfulness coaching and led workshops for LGBTQ+ professionals looking to start a mindfulness practice. I write, think, and connect with people about things that excite me: artists and creatives, mindfulness in the workplace, the rapidly changing landscape of generative AI, building strong brands in B2B SaaS, and startups.
