As a construction intern, I was given the chance to explore the various areas of construction expertise exemplified by the members of Gilbane’s 130 William Street team. My role changed on a daily basis. I observed and contributed where help was required. My internship contributions included:- Labeled over 20 types of precast embeds and distributed them to field staff- Labeled and organized field drawings to be distributed between office and field staff- Tracked concrete breaks- Updated permit logs- Distributed and documented meeting minutes- Managed safety orientation documentation- Transferred RFIs from smart app to Procore- Updated company contact list - Various other field positions
