I served as a patrol officer within field operations in a northern Saint Louis municipality. During my tenure, I provided strategical criminal analysis reports and served as the agency MIAC/Fusion liaison. As a trainer I used my multiple disciplines in firearms instruction, to develop several Missouri P.O.S.T. Approved training programs to introduce modern ideas and techniques. Officers no longer were encumbered by training, but rather enjoyed it and performed markedly better. I researched, updated, and validated previous response to resistance models to lower agency liability while increasing officer safety. This netted in a 90% reduction of officer injury and 82% reduction in recorded subject injuries post implementation. I conceptualized, developed, and instituted the first patrol rifle program that is still in place. I networked to secure a local facility for agency use at no cost and within department venue. This allowed more officers to remain in service and response range while qualifying and training. I facilitated the acquisition of Patrol Rifles through the Defense Logistics LESO/1033 Program which provided individual officer rifles at no cost to the department. I introduced the agency to BATFE E-Trace Firearms Tracing Program and trained officers to use it which netted a 45% increase in stolen/wanted firearms recovery and provided statistics for collective regional analysis.
