Lead and oversee training of new peer educators as well as continued education of existing peer educators within Colby College's Sexual Violence Prevention (SVP) program. Design and lead discussion-based training sessions with Colby Juniors and Seniors living in campus apartment housing as well as those students living off campus. Assist the Colby College Confidential Title IX Advocate in maintaining effective program operations and finding ways to improve upon deduced program weaknesses.

Manage all of CER’s operations and personnel as well as the activities of CER’s officer corps. Work with local EMS services and other medical professionals to strengthen partnerships and coordinate joint efforts for quality improvement and standard operating procedures. Established a line of communication with the Kennebec County Regional EMS Medical Director to oversee operational and protocol changes and give feedback on patient care as part of CER’s quality improvement plan. Coordinated shadowing opportunities for CER members with Delta Ambulance and Waterville Fire-Rescue. Successfully lobbied budget increase which was approved by the CFO of Colby College in collaboration with other CER officers. This budget increase accounted for the resources required to support the addition of a Quality Improvement (QI) Officer position, QI program, and additional education & training.

Provide emergency medical services to the greater Waterville and greater Augusta areas through two to eight 12-hour shifts each month. Operate as primary provider and assist EMT-A and Paramedics with providing care as needed.

Lead prospective students on informational tours of campus highlighting key aspects of the academic programs offered at Colby College as well as the student experience. Assist departments within the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid and the Office of Campus Life to elevate promotion of Colby College through various projects. Ensure excellent experiences for all campus visitors by connecting them to resources within the college and speaking one-on-one about programs, majors, and educational and research opportunities offered by Colby College.

Lead small group discussions with first and second year students by presenting Colby College’s Sexual Misconduct Policies, reporting procedures, and resources. Facilitate discussion between students about how and when to safely intervene as a bystander and how to support a survivor.

Created and/or led the following trainings for all CER members: annual blood-born pathogen training as per OSHA requirements, CPR recertification classes, and monthly trainings to maintain national certifications and Maine licenses. Led one-on-one and small group sessions to coordinate the national and state level re-certification applications. Assisted students in the Colby College January Term EMT course by teaching initial CPR certification classes, facilitating skills practice, and hosting review sessions. Following the end of the January EMT course, proctored National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Psychomotor Certification Exam (PSE).

Prepare laboratory equipment and set up for laboratory experiments, assist in laboratory experiments as needed, and grade completed laboratory assignments.
