The Summit for Someone (SFS) program is the premier mountaineering based fundraiser in the country. The SFS program is modeled off the pledge-participation model of a 'Team in Training' or a 'For the Cause' event. As the SFS Manager, I am charged with managing the entire program, from design to execution, maintaining a high standard of quality throughout the SFS experience fro hundreds of participants each year. Cultivating relationships with climbers, outdoor brands, ambassadors and all outdoor industry partners is of key importance.

Devon SvejcarFit to be Kids is a non-profit organization aimed to get inner city, at risk kids outside and active. We strive toprovide free weekend programs in local parks. Education of both the child and the parent on nutrition,athletics, and all around good health and fitness are the core values of this program. The program was startedin Southern California and always had the intention of coming to Colorado. I was brought in, as a volunteer,to help launch their Colorado chapter in June of 2014. My work included marketing/promotional work, innercity and at risk child outreach, donor meetings, fundraising, program development, event management and lifecoaching. This is an extremely valuable program, one that I am proud to be a part of.

Backroads is the world’s #1 active travel company. As a trip leader I was in charge of organization andimplementation of all trip logistics and operation. From guest arrangements and accommodation to leadinghiking, biking, kayaking and rafting trips. My region of focus was Grand Teton National Park andYellowstone. I also worked with National Geographic as an Expedition Leader. It was a job that required onthe fly adaptation, a strong work ethic and for one to be self-motivated for long days while staying positive andalways looking to improve guest experience and the quality of the trip.

Began coaching in 2005 and acquired the head coaching position in 2009. I supervised 30+ coaches andhelped the program grow from less than 100 athletes to over 400. After one season as a head coach for thetrack team, Apex Parks and Recreation offered me the job of heading up their cross country program as well.While the program is much smaller than the track team, it was a challenge coaching with minimal crosscountry experience. This required me to adapt and learn a new training program and method. I was involvedin all aspect of running the team (staff training, event planning and management, conflict resolution, workoutprogram development, etc.)

The Cable Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history of the cable industry whileproviding educational programs to students and professionals across the country. While working in theBusiness and Finance department at The Cable Center I made many accomplishments that contributed to theeffectiveness and success of our organization. My responsibilities included accounts payable and receivable,learning and operating our fixed asset system, negotiating agreements with vendors and customers, writingaccounting processes, financial reporting, data organization, and since we were a non-profit, completingmultiple audits a year. The importance of spending in a fiscally responsible way while keeping the goals of ourorganization in mind was a key aspect of this job.
